Dubai Islamic Bank Announces Strong Financial Performance and Dividend Distribution for 2025

Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) has announced that its shareholders have approved a proposal from the Board of Directors to distribute a cash dividend of 35 fils per share for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025, totaling Dh2.53 billion.

For the year, DIB reported operating revenues of Dh13.3 billion and a pre-tax profit of Dh9.0 billion. The bank’s total assets increased by 21% to reach Dh416 billion, net financing assets grew by 23% to Dh262 billion, and customer deposits surged by 29% to Dh320 billion.

The quality of assets has also seen improvement, with the non-performing financing (NPF) ratio strengthening to 2.65%, while the cost of risk has remained low at 14 basis points.

Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Shaibani, the Director General of the Ruler’s Court and Chairman of DIB, commented on the results: “The UAE’s economic trajectory is characterized by clarity of direction, disciplined execution, and an institutional framework that fosters sustained growth. In this context, financial institutions are expected to operate consistently, uphold public confidence, and contribute meaningfully to the broader economic agenda. DIB’s performance over the past year showcases the strength of a model grounded in prudent governance, measured decision-making, and continuity of purpose. The Board is committed to preserving the Bank’s long-term strength and vision, ensuring that growth aligns with its risk appetite while consistently contributing to national priorities.”

Dr. Adnan Chilwan, Group Chief Executive Officer of DIB, stated: “The results for 2025 reflect a business that has achieved consistent growth while effectively managing its balance sheet and key risk metrics. Operating revenues reached Dh13.3 billion, and total assets stood at Dh416 billion, with growth in financing assets and customer deposits supported by a stable funding base. Moreover, asset quality has improved, and the cost of risk remains manageable. The dividend approved by shareholders demonstrates a balanced approach between delivering returns and retaining strength for future growth. Moving forward, our focus will be on maintaining balance sheet robustness, enhancing the composition and sustainability of earnings, and continuing to serve customers and the economy with Shariah-compliant banking that is commercially viable and designed for the long term.”

In addition to its strong financial performance, 2025 was a year of continued strategic advancement for DIB. The bank expanded its regional presence, advanced its sustainable finance initiatives, and played a significant role in financing major transactions across key markets and sectors, as evidenced by its ranking as the world’s third-largest sukuk bookrunner in 2025, according to Cbonds.
